27 May 2025: Your Voice for Diversity!

For 13 years now, the Diversity Charter has been calling on companies, organisations and educational institutions to take part in the annual "German Diversity Day". As a signatory to the Diversity Charter, Paderborn University wasparticularly keen to respond to this call and once again demonstrated its commitment to diversity issues on campus with numerous action stands in the library foyer on the 27th of May 2025.

Together with more than 830 organisations, we have registered one of over 2,600 activities for #DDT25 and used our #VoiceForDiversity with all members of the university. In addition to a diversity quiz, in which all interested parties could test their knowledge of diversity issues, various media and creative stations have been therefore organised this time, where a sign for diversity and tolerance could be set in a variety of ways.

Your voices for Diversity! Audio statements @UPB Campus 2025

We asked you to raise your voices for Diversity - and you did! Here?s a snippet of the audio data we collected at Diversity Day 2025.

DIV DAY OWL – the UPB took part: on site in Detmold, with a watch party in the foyer and digitally via live stream!

On the afternoon of 27 May, DIV DAY OWL took place at TH OWL in Detmold. We were also represented here by students from the UPB and the Vice-Dean for Sustainability, Equality and Diversity of the Faculty of Cultural Studies, and together with all the universities in OWL, we celebrated Diversity Day in our region with a variety of TED talks and (musical) contributions.

We were able to follow the celebration on the Paderborn campus via livestream from 2:00 p.m. to around 4:30 p.m. It was great that you joined our watch party in the foyer and made yourselves comfortable with us with popcorn and other snacks!

Have you missed the livestream? You can watch it again here at any time.

We are already looking forward to next year, when DIV DAY OWL will take place here in Paderborn!
