Field Study "Exploring Four 20 Pharma: A Pioneer in Medical Cannabis"
As part of the COLOURS Event Week, a field study titled “Exploring Four 20 Pharma – Pioneer in Medical Cannabis” was conducted on June 25. The visit took place at Four 20 Pharma, a company specializing in the production, import, and trade of medical cannabis flowers and full-spectrum extracts.
A total of 22 participants took part in the field study, including students and staff from Paderborn University (Germany), Le Mans University (France), the University of Castilla-La Mancha (Spain), Kristianstad University (Sweden), Jan D?ugosz University in Cz?stochowa (Poland), and Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek (Croatia).
During the visit, participants visited the company’s production facilities and laboratories and had the opportunity to gain firsthand insights into the manufacturing and quality assurance processes behind various medical cannabis products. Experts from the company provided detailed explanations of the legal frameworks, regulatory requirements, and industry standards governing medical cannabis.
A highlight of the field study was a session with the company’s founder and CEO, Thomas Schatton. The latter shared the story behind the founding of Four 20 Pharma, addressed the current challenges facing both the company and the broader medical cannabis industry, and highlighted various positive experiences of patients who found relief through the use of medical cannabis. The discussion placed special emphasis on combating the stigma and misconceptions still surrounding medical cannabis as well as Four 20 Pharma’s ongoing efforts to promote education and public awareness.
The session with Mr. Schatton was highly interactive. Participants asked insightful questions, shared perspectives on the legal status of medical cannabis in their respective countries, and raised concerns about potential side effects.
